The purpose of the Debate Land Scholarship is to recognize and support outstanding individuals who have demonstrated exceptional skill, passion, and commitment to the debate and their communities. This scholarship aims to foster intellectual growth, critical thinking, and effective communication skills by providing financial assistance for college and access to debate camps. The DLS is a need-blind scholarship.

Founders Sam Chitgopekar and Adithya Vaidyanathan envisioned a world where every debater, regardless of their background or resources, could harness the power of data to sharpen their skills, track their progress, and showcase their success. Their passion for debate, coupled with their expertise in technology, gave birth to tournaments.tech, the precursor to Debate Land. Today we realize the next step in that mission.
As Debate Land continues to thrive and make waves in the debate community, we are excited to announce a significant step forward in our commitment to fostering excellence and inclusivity. In collaboration with the National Symposium for Debate (NSD), Debate Land is proud to launch a $20,000 scholarship program. This scholarship aims to empower and support debaters from diverse backgrounds, providing them with the financial means to pursue their passion for debate and education contemporaneously.
By investing in the next generation of debaters, we hope to contribute to the growth and diversity of voices in the debate space, ultimately enriching the discourse and fostering a more inclusive community. As we embark on this new initiative, we remain steadfast in our dedication to creating opportunities for all debaters to excel and succeed on their journey to greatness.
